BALKISOU BUBA
Balky Buba is from the Mbororo pastoralist community of the North West Region of Cameroon. She is a social worker, founder and president of Indigenous Peoples and Sustainable Development (IPSD-Cameroon). Balky is a holder of 3 certificates on conflict analysis, conflict negotiation and management and interfaith conflict resolution from the United States Institute of Peace (USIP 2012). She has been working on peace building initiatives. She has organized interfaith dialogues to promote peace, living together and interfaith conflict resolution. She was the training facilitator of IDP-Goods where she sensitized hundreds of students, youth and children on countering violent extremism and peace building, de-radicalization of youth and psychosocial support for internally displaced women and children in the Far North Region of Cameroon 2016-2018. She worked with HOFNA on women and peace building and was part of the organizing team of the National conference on Gender based violence and UNSCR 1325 that brought together more than 100 women from the 10 Regions of Cameroon in December 2020.
